A visually-focused community radio in Hong Kong.

MÖTH Community Radio is one of very few in Hong Kong. Radios are severely underrated in this city, yet they play an essential role in developing the grass-root music industry as a hassle-free way to showcase your DJ skills. Video-recorded radios have been pivotal in the social media age and allow visual musicians to exhibit what we believe to be their highest form of art, integrating their multidisciplinary works on camera. We felt that a lack of visually-recorded radio platforms in Hong Kong was specifically disadvantageous for multidisciplinary DJs (mostly queer and alt) in expressing themselves without limits, and so we were extra motivated and excited to work on this project.

Opening September 7th, from the ground-up for the queers and alts.

The “Community” aspect of MÖTH Community Radio means no barriers. To us this project is our thank you to the city for all the love that it has shown us and our queer talents in the past months of launch. We are on a mission to build independently-financed infrastructure that supports all the local queer & alt kiddos from Hong Kong who will grow up to spread their wings and become awesome DJs. Without financial barriers. We are opening a registration platform starting from 30th of September for ANYONE (queer or not) to register to play at our radio!

“Cyborgasm: Goddess of fertility”: an exploration of  technological birth to a new generation of artists.

The theme of the launch rave “CYBORGASM: Goddess of Fertility” comes from our imagination of the mothering role that MÖTH Community Radio would play in Hong Kong. A divine & queer feminine technological piece of software that will support generations of DJs to come in their music journey. Meet our Cyborg robot created in collaboration with our friends at TOOTHACHE ® giving birth to a generation of sexy MÖTH babes.

Mixed live & DJ performances all night by a cast of our queer & alt family.

With every show we do we get more and more emotional seeing queer-dominated lineups. While MÖTH Community Radio is open to all, it just felt right to mix in the queers and alts into one bag. To represent the old, the new, the local, the international. We are stoked to share the stage on this special moment with loveless, KATAGYAL, baby diwata, AHURA MAZDA (Persian Pussy), Cheetos, ZAH (Live), HUMAN F, and our new resident DJs EEVEE & NAVA!
